Harry: Bilic told us to sign Niko

Portsmouth boss Harry Redknapp has revealed that Croatian boss Slaven Bilic recommended that he should bring Niko Kranjcar to the club. The midfielder has been a success this year, and scored the winning goal for Pompey against West Ham in midweek.

  • "You've seen what he can do. You've seen him do it at Wembley and against Scotland," said Redknapp. "He's a fantastic footballer. He's class, he really is.



    "He's got time on the ball, knows what he's doing, he can really play football. He's got great ability - and he's only a kid and will get even better.



    "Slaven Bilic recommended him strongly. We had looked at him but Slaven gave him a fantastic recommendation and I took him. And he's been fantastic for us."
