Liverpool take on Blackburn at Anfeld after their grueling three match special with Arsenal in the Premiership and the Champions League.

  • Chelsea to move for former Arsenal goalkeeper?
  • Arsenal handed huge boost ahead of Bournemouth clash

  • Midfielder David Dunn missed last week's 1-1 draw at home to Tottenham with a knee problem and he will also be assessed prior to the match at Anfield.

Steven Reid is expected to retain his place in the starting XI after being substituted late on against Spurs with cramp in his calf.

Liverpool midfielder Javier Mascherano will complete a three-match suspension.

Mascherano tried to have an extra two-match ban cut imposed for his reaction to his red card at Manchester United on appeal but the Football Association rejected the plea.

Liverpool still have Daniel Agger (knee), Harry Kewell (hamstring) and Jermaine Pennant (hamstring) sidelined but boss Rafael Benitez will have the rest of his squad available.
