Liverpool are set to land their first summer signing with Kostas Tsimikas due to join them from Olympiacos in a deal worth £11.5m.
The Greek left-back has already arrived in Merseyside for his medical and the deal is expected to be finalised in the next 24 hours, as per Sky Sports.
The defender is expected to put pen-to-paper on a four-year deal with the Reds and will become their first purchase of the transfer window.
Jurgen Klopp's side are likely to limit their spending this summer amid the financial impact of the coronavirus pandemic.
Still, they are aiming to add more depth in key areas of the squad and Tsimikas will provide a quality back-up option behind Andrew Robertson.
A major part of Tsimikas' fee has been compensated by the departure of Dejan Lovren to Zenit St. Petersburg last month.
The Croatian ended his six-year association with the Reds to join the Russian champions, who paid around £10.9m for his services.
