Arsenal goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez will make the move to Aston Villa next week, a report from The Telegraph claims.
The Argentine started the previous season as the Cup goalkeeper for the Gunners, but he was handed regular game time after the knee injury to Bernd Leno following the COVID-19 shutdown.
Martinez made a huge impression with a number of stellar displays and he was part of the Gunners' XI which won the FA Cup final as well as the Community Shield last month.
In recent days, it has been revealed that he has turned down a new contract with the club and The Telegraph reports that the Villans have reached an agreement to sign him.
The west Midlands outfit have negotiated a package of £20m with the Gunners and they are expected to pay around £15m upfront for the 28-year-old, who is desperate for regular first-team football.
Arsenal are aiming to sign Brentford's David Raya as a replacement, but the Championship side are adamant that the Spaniard is not for sale.
Bernd Leno remains the club's number one goalkeeper. Matt Macey, who has been the third-choice shot-stopper, is also expected to head for the exit door.
