Tottenham Hotspur agree deal for Manchester United target

16 September 2020 - 19:30

Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly reached an agreement with Real Madrid to sign left-back Sergio Reguilon.

  • Chelsea to move for former Arsenal goalkeeper?
  • Former Chelsea boss to replace Erik ten Hag at Man Utd?

  • The 23-year-old impressed on a season-long loan at Sevilla last term where he registered three goals and five assists from 38 appearances.

Earlier this month, he was fancied to make the move to Manchester United, but they were unwilling to meet the £27.4m asking price as well as Los Blancos' demands for a buy-back clause.

Tottenham Hotspur have since entered the pursuit of the Spaniard and Fabrizio Romano has revealed that they have agreed to sign him after agreeing to both demands set by Zinedine Zidane's side.

Los Blancos currently have Marcelo and Ferland Mendy in their ranks and that has paved the way for the departure of Reguilon. However, they can re-sign him at any point in the future for £32m.

Meanwhile, the north London giants are also close to securing the services of Gareth Bale from Los Blancos. The Welshman was a fan favourite at Spurs before he made the switch to the Bernabeu in 2013.
