Inter Milan could reportedly include Ivan Perisic as a makeweight as they look to land the signature of Chris Smalling from Manchester United.Â
Smalling spent the previous campaign on loan with AS Roma and he made a good impact in his 38 appearances across all competitions.
Roma have been unable to sign him permanently due to the £18.5m price tag, but an intermediary is still trying to negotiate a possible deal.
Amidst this, FCInterNews claims that the Nerazzurri could be willing to include Perisic as part of the deal to sign Smalling this summer.
Perisic spent the 2019/2020 season on loan with Bayern Munich where he registered eight goals and 10 assists across all competitions.
The European champions were looking to sign him permanently for £9.5m, but a deal failed to materialise due to the non-negotiable £13m price tag.
United have been long-term admirers of Perisic and it remains to be seen whether they are interested in signing him in a part-exchange deal for Smalling.
