Chelsea striker Olivier Giroud has confirmed that there has been plenty of interest from Serie A clubs in signing him.
The Frenchman was linked with a move to Inter Milan in January this year, but the Blues blocked the move after they couldn't find a replacement.
Earlier this summer, the Blues strengthened their strikeforce with the purchase of Timo Werner from RB Leipzig and that has dropped Giroud down the pecking order.
In a recent interview with RMC Sport, Giroud revealed that he was close to moving to the Serie A at one point. He added that he may assess his options in the near future.
"I've been close to moving to Serie A. They appreciated experienced players there, but the transfer didn't materialise. For the future we will see what happens. I will decide by evaluating the opportunities I will have," He told.
Giroud was a regular during the backend of the previous season. However, that has not been the case this term. He has been restricted to just one substitute appearance in the Premier League.
Both Inter and Lazio are interested in signing him. Giroud can sign a pre-contract with an overseas club in January when he will enter the final six months of his Blues deal.
