Arsenal are expected to field Kieran Tierney against Manchester City after managing to cut short his self-isolation period.
The Scotland international was initially scheduled to face a 14-day quarantine after coming in close contact with Stuart Armstrong, who had tested positive for COVID-19.
Earlier yesterday, manager Mikel Arteta said that he was hopeful that Tierney would be involved on Saturday and The Telegraph has now confirmed that he is available for selection.
The north London giants have managed to cut short the defender's isolation period after proving that he was nearly three metres away from Armstrong through the video reference.
It is added that the former Celtic graduate already has anti-bodies for the coronavirus after being tested positive prior to the beginning of the current campaign.
Tierney has regularly played on the left side of the back three under Arteta and he could assume a similar role tomorrow, should the Spaniard go with a 3-4-3 formation.
The Gunners have made a positive start to the season with nine points from four games. New summer signing Thomas Partey could make his debut in the midfield against the Cityzens.
