Former Manchester United and Arsenal striker Danny Welbeck has returned to the Premier League with Brighton & Hove Albion.
The England international left the Gunners to join Watford last summer, but endured an injury-plagued campaign. He scored just three goals from 20 appearances before the Hornets were relegated from the top-flight.
Earlier this month, it was revealed that Welbeck mutually cut ties with the Hornets and the forward has now returned to the Premier League with the Seagulls on a one-year deal.
Welbeck is likely to provide the back-up from the bench with Neal Maupay having stood out for the Seagulls since his arrival from Brentford more than 12m months ago.
Brighton recently picked up a 1-1 draw against Crystal Palace. They were the dominant side during the course of the encounter and eventually picked up a point after a 90th-minute winner from Alexis Mac Allister.
The result ended a four-match losing streak for Graham Potter's side. They are scheduled to face West Bromwich Albion on the road in their next matchday.
