Ben Arfa postpones contract talk

Ben Arfa postpones contract talk

15 April 2008 - 11:28

Lyon winger Hatem Ben Arfa has decided to postpone contract talk with his club - but insists he is more than happy to stay. Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is very keen to bring the Frenchman to London.

  • Enzo Fernandez wants to leave Chelsea
  • Man Utd set to hold contract talks with experienced star
  • "The talks are advancing well and I feel happy at Lyon," he said. "And, for the moment, my future is not news. We will see about all that at the end of the season."

However, Lyon may stand up and take notice of the Gunners if the rumours are true that a £15 million offer is in the pipeline.

"I am disappointed at not playing more and I see that a lot of people are surprised to see me often on the bench.

"But I can only hope to get my place back in the team. It is all I can do insofar as the coach has never told me why I am a substitute.

"I still have hope and a desire to play."
