Predicted Man United lineup vs Sheffield United

Predicted Manchester United lineup (4-2-3-1) to face Sheffield United, Martial and Pogba start

17 December 2020 - 19:18

Manchester United are scheduled to face Sheffield United on the road tonight. The Red Devils are currently ninth on the Premier League table, but they can go within one point of the top four with a victory at Bramall Lane.

  • Arsenal handed injury boost on defender ahead of Bournemouth clash
  • Chelsea planning shock move for Man City winger?

  • Formation: 4-2-3-1

    Predicted Lineup:

David de Gea has been the constant between the sticks for the Red Devils, barring injury. He is expected to start in goal against the Blades.

In the defence, no changes are expected. Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Luke Shaw will feature in the right and left back positions respectively. Victor Lindelof should once again partner Harry Maguire at the heart of the backline.

In the midfield, we are fancying Fred to accompany Paul Pogba. Scott McTominay may drop to the bench as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer may opt for another attacker.

Bruno Fernandes is a definite starter in the number 10 role and could be partnered by Mason Greenwood and Marcus Rashford in the right and left wing respectively.

Anthony Martial should lead the line upfront after returning from injury for the Manchester derby last weekend where he came off the bench. Edinson Cavani may settle for a bench role as he has just recovered from a muscle injury.

Predicted Manchester United lineup (4-2-3-1): David de Gea; Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Victor Lindelof, Harry Maguire, Luke Shaw; Paul Pogba, Fred; Mason Greenwood, Bruno Fernandes, Marcus Rashford; Anthony Martial
