Both Manchester United and Manchester City plan to lodge bids for Aston Villa midfielder Jack Grealish when the transfer window reopens next month.
Grealish has been an influential player for the Villans and he was key to keeping them in the top-flight last season after his crucial goal in the final matchday.
Earlier this summer, Grealish ended speculation over his future by signing a fresh long-term deal and he has since excelled in the Premier League with five goals and seven assists from just 12 appearances.
Both United and City are said to be long-term admirers of Grealish and The Mirror reports that they could make contact with the Villans regarding a potential transfer next month.
However, the west Midlands outfit are unlikely to entertain any mid-season bids for their captain and may wait until the summer before reassessing their stance.
Grealish was previously valued at around £60m, but the Villans are likely to demand a higher sum next summer, particularly with the midfielder having more than five years left on his contract.
