Liverpool not actively looking to sell forward

31 December 2020 - 20:50

Liverpool are not looking to sell Divock Origi during the January transfer window.

  • Mikel Arteta insists 27yo star won't be leaving Arsenal
  • Omari Hutchinson wants to continue at Ipswich Town

  • The Belgian has hardly played for the Reds this season and he has managed only 318 minutes of first-team action.

A recent report claimed that Wolves could attempt to sign Origi with Raul Jimenez out on the sidelines after his skull surgery.

However, The Liverpool Echo reports that the board won't consider Origi's exit at the midway stage of the season.

It is added that a departure will be on the cards, only if Origi decides to push for a move away from the club.

In such a case, it is reported that the Reds could demand around £20m.

Wolves are obviously looking into a move as they are lacking the physical presence upfront with the setback for Jimenez.

Aside from Nuno's side, Inter Milan have also been credited with an interest with manager Antonio Conte wanting more depth in the attack.

The Nerazzurri are currently one point behind AC Milan for the top spot in the Serie A.
