Barcelona will make a serious attempt to sign Hector Bellerin from Arsenal, should Joan Laporta win the presidential election.
Laporta is one of three candidates including Victor Font and Antoni Freixa in the running to become the next Blaugrana president.
The 58-year-old previously held the position between 2003 and 2010 and he is regarded as the favourite to win the election on March 7.
According to The Mirror, Laporta is already planning for the future and he has held talks with the entourage of the Gunners right-back.
Bellerin wanted to leave the north London giants last summer, but he has convinced to stay for another season by manager Mikel Arteta.
The club are unlikely to come in the way of his departure this summer and both Paris Saint-Germain and Barcelona have been linked with him.
Bellerin will have two years remaining of his contract this summer and it has been claimed that the Gunners may want around £35m to sanction his sale.
The 25-year-old has made more than 230 appearances for the Gunners. He initially joined the club's under-18 side from the La Masia academy back in 2011.
