Tottenham Hotspur may look to sign Gareth Bale on a permanent basis from Real Madrid following the season-long loan.
The north London side re-signed Bale on loan last summer, but he hardly played for them during the first half of the season.
However, he has been in fine form since February with six goals and two assists and that has changed the hierarchy's stance.
According to Football.London, the capital outfit are considering a permanent move for the Welshman at the end of the campaign.
However, the deal may be dependent on the attacker accepting a significant pay-cut on his current wages of more than £500,000-a-week.
Bale's fitness has been a concern in recent years, but he has been managed carefully and has played a maximum of 70 minutes per game.
He may need to prove his fitness for the remainder of the campaign for the club to be convinced to negotiate a transfer fee with Los Blancos.
