Arsenal to consider Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang sale?

31 March 2021 - 20:25

Arsenal could reportedly consider the departure of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang during this summer's transfer window.

  • Mauricio Pochettino confirms fresh injury blow for Chelsea star
  • Arsenal want to make four marquee signings this summer

  • The Gabon international had a fantastic 2019/2020 season where he scored 29 goals and helped the club win the FA Cup.

Hence, he was rewarded with a fresh £300,000-a-week contract last summer, but he has since struggled for consistency.

Aubameyang has netted only 14 times from 31 appearances and he has looked far from his best when it comes to his finishing.

According to Football Insider, the north London giants may consider the sale of Aubameyang as they look to cut down on their losses.

The club have missed out on Champions League football for four years running and they are desperate to end the streak.

They are currently nine points adrift of the top four and may need to win the Europa League to qualify for the competition.

If they fail to do so, Aubameyang could head for the exit door with his huge salary package being a cause for concern.
