Zagadou on Arsenal radar

Arsenal considering move for Borussia Dortmund defender

Arsenal are reportedly considering an approach to sign Borussia Dortmund defender Dan-Axel Zagadou.

  • The Gunners are likely to rebuild their squad this summer, and they could pursue another central defender.

Zagadou was on their radar in 2019, and reputed journalist Duncan Castles claims that the club have revived their interest.

The north London giants are said to be confident about their chances of signing the 21-year-old, who could be available for £26m.

Zagadou has a strong aerial presence at 1.96m, and he has also impressed with his range of distribution from the heart of the backline.

However, he has been injury-plagued over the past 18 months and has missed 35 games in the current campaign alone.

He was recently ruled out for the season after a knee surgery, and the Gunners could be taking a risk in signing him.

The Frenchman is a left-footed centre-back, and the Gunners already have Gabriel and Pablo Mari fitting the criteria.

Mari could be on the move this summer with interest from Villarreal.
