West Ham United reveal their stance on Declan Rice

11 April 2021 - 21:24

West Ham United have made it clear that Declan Rice won't be included in the negotiations to sign Manchester United forward Jesse Lingard this summer.

  • Chelsea eyeing shock move for 24yo AC Milan star
  • Calum McFarlane drops injury update on two Chelsea stars
  • Lingard has been a huge hit since his loan move in January, bagging eight goals and four assists from just nine appearances.

This has boosted the Hammers' top-four prospects, and the club are already exploring a permanent deal for the attacker.

It was recently claimed that United could offer Lingard as a makeweight to sign Rice, who has been their long-term target.

However, according to The Sun, the Hammers won't entertain any kind of offers for the midfielder, and have no plans to sell him.

Rice is currently sidelined with a knee injury, but he is hopeful of getting fit ahead of the European Championships with England.

His contract does not expire until June 2024. There is also a 12-month extension clause, and the Hammers are content to keep him.

Only a bid of around £100m could entice them to sell their prized asset.
