04 September 2007 - 18:53

Wigan have completed the signing of Cameroonian left back Salomon Olembe on a free transfer. The player had only just had his contract with Marseille cancelled.

  • Since the sale of Leighton Baines, Wigan had been looking for a left-back replacement. Salomon has already experience in England, playing for Leeds United a few seasons ago.

"Salomon is an experienced campaigner, who's played at the highest level. We've had our eye on him for quite a while, and like all our signings, we have done a lot of research on him," Hutchings told the club's official website.
