Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel has revealed that midfielder N'Golo Kante was substituted against Leicester City as a precaution.
The Frenchman came off the playing field in the 31st minute, and speaking after the 2-1 win, Tuchel revealed that the midfielder felt his hamstring.
Instead of continuing, Tuchel made the quick decision to bench him, and he is hopeful that the midfielder has avoided an injury.
The Blues are scheduled to face Aston Villa on the road this weekend. They may need to win to secure a top four spot.
They will face Manchester City in the Champions League final shortly after. Kante will be hoping to face the Cityzens in Lisbon.
He has been a huge influence for the Blues in Europe this term, and has produced a number of standout displays in the knockout stage.
Meanwhile, the Blues have received an injury boost with Mateo Kovacic's return from a hamstring problem, which kept him out for a month.
