Manchester United could discuss a potential swap deal for Real Madrid defender Raphael Varane this summer.
The Red Devils are keen on signing a new centre-back this summer, and Varane has been identified as the top target.
He is valued at around €70m by Los Blancos, but United can't afford more than €45m after the huge outlay for Jadon Sancho.
According to AS, the club could look into a swap deal for the World Cup winner with Pogba moving in the opposite direction.
Pogba and Varane have entered the final year of their respective contracts, and there has been no progress over the renewals.
A swap could suit both clubs. While United are long-term admirers of Varane, Madrid have also been long interested in Pogba.
There could be a straight swap deal. If the move goes through, it would be the first piece of business between them since 2014.
United previously landed Angel Di Maria from Madrid in 2014. The Argentine flopped and was sold to Paris Saint-Germain in 12 months.
