Roma are close to finalising the transfer of midfielder Granit Xhaka from Arsenal, a report from Tuttomercatoweb claims.
The Switzerland international has already agreed personal terms over a four-year deal, but the move has stalled due to differences over the transfer fee.
Roma's opening offer of €15m was rejected by the Gunners as they were holding out for at least €20m up front.
The Italian outfit have now offered €18m plus add-ons, and they are close to landing the ex-Gunners captain.
Xhaka is likely to cut short his holiday in order to complete the necessary formalities to join Roma.
The Gunners have already filled the void with the signing of Anderlecht's Albert Sambi Lokonga.
They are still eyeing another midfielder, and want to recoup some of the funds from Xhaka's sale.
Wolverhampton Wanderers' Ruben Neves and Lyon's Houssem Aouar are among their top transfer targets.
Neves is reportedly valued at around €40m. Aouar could be the cheaper alternative with a price tag of just €25m.
