The Frenchman has entered the final year of his deal, and the hierarchy have opted against an extension.

According to The Sun, the Gunners are looking into the future, and are expected to sign a new striker.

Chelsea's Tammy Abraham has emerged as the top target, but he won't come on the cheap with a £40m price tag.

The Gunners are likely to recoup the funds from player sales. Lacazette is one of those expected to leave soon.

The Frenchman was the club's top scorer last term with 17 goals, but he could be sold for just £15m this summer.

Eddie Nketiah could also be shown the exit door with a similar contract situation. He is valued at around £20m.

Meanwhile, the Gunners have reportedly agreed personal terms with Abraham ahead of his potential transfer.

They are prepared to pay him £125,000-a-week. Abraham is eager to join them as they were his boyhood club.
