Wenger urges stars to stay

Wenger urges stars to stay

21 April 2008 - 19:18

Arsene Wenger has called on his young players to dedicate their futures to Arsenal as several players have been linked with a summer move. Mathieu Flamini, Alexander Hleb and Cesc Fabregas have all been linked with a move away in the summer.

  • Enzo Fernandez wants to leave Chelsea
  • Man Utd set to hold contract talks with experienced star
  • "You can go to Real Madrid and Barcelona, but you have no more guarantees to win trophies," said the Frenchman. "From this season we should get the belief we can win trophies and come back to win the title.

"It would be criminal not to believe we could do it because we were so close this year. We could have gone unbeaten this season as well as we only lost three games. That is why I am so insistent that I keep this team together.

"We have a very young team with a great future."
