Arsenal have been credited with an interest in signing Manchester United target Kieran Trippier.
The Gunners have already spent £71m on three recruits, and they are expected to make more signings before the deadline.
According to The Sun, the club are open to parting ways with right-back Hector Bellerin, and want to replace him with Trippier.
Trippier has had a tremendous career revival since joining Atletico Madrid from Tottenham Hotspur a couple of years ago.
He is eager to return to the Premier League this summer, and has been heavily associated with a move to the Red Devils.
United are reluctant to pay more than £20m to sign Trippier. With two years left on his contract, Atletico want at least £30m to sell him.
The Gunners could make a late raid for the Englishman. Arteta is eyeing an attacking right-back with Premier League experience.
Arsenal start their top-flight campaign on Friday night. They are set to take on newly-promoted Brentford on the road.
