Tottenham Hotspur could be leading the race to sign Manchester City target Dusan Vlahovic during the winter transfer window.
The Serbian is approaching the final 18 months of his Fiorentina contract, and he has been fancied to leave in January.
Spurs and City have been credited with an interest, but Calciomercato claims that the former could be favourites to sign him.
Spurs sporting director Fabio Paratici previously attempted to sign Vlahovic for Juventus, but a deal did not materialise.
He wanted to sign the 21-year-old on loan with an obligation to buy, but La Viola were only interested in a straight-cash deal.
Paratici is prepared to try again for the marksman. He is reportedly keen on bringing him to the north London giants next year.
Spurs are still uncertain over the future of Harry Kane. He could leave them if they go through another trophyless season.
The club may pursue Vlahovic as early as January. La Viola wanted €70m this summer and they could accept a lesser sum.
