Ceballos wanted back at Real Betis

Arsenal midfield target linked with Real Betis move

09 November 2021 - 21:04

Real Madrid midfielder Dani Ceballos has been linked with a return to Real Betis during the January transfer window.

  • Chelsea ready to sell four home-grown players
  • Predicted Chelsea line-up (4-2-3-1) vs Aston Villa, Palmer starts

  • The Spaniard has not played a single minute for Madrid this term due to an ankle injury sustained during the Olympic games.

He is likely to make his comeback in the coming weeks, and AS claims that Betis will attempt to re-sign him in January.

However, they could face competition from Arsenal with manager Mikel Arteta keen on another reunion with the midfielder.

The 25-year-old had a successful loan stint with the Gunners in 2019/2020. He was re-signed on another temporary deal last summer.

His second campaign was far from impressive with unforced defensive errors. Ceballos personally admitted that he was not at his best.

Ceballos acknowledged that he would prefer a return to La Liga, but it has been claimed that Arteta wants to bring him back.

Betis may have the edge with Ceballos having developed under them. He was recently in the stands to watch them in the Seville derby.
