The Blaugrana are keen on reinforcing their attack in January, and they are widely expected to offload multiple players.

Coutinho is one of those who is dispensable. They are determined to find a new club for him when the transfer window reopens.

According to The Mirror, the Catalan giants have enquired whether Spurs and Newcastle are still interested in the Brazilian.

Coutinho has been linked with a Premier League return on numerous occasions, and he could be open to a transfer.

However, he appears likely to snub advances from the Magpies despite the fact that their big-money takeover this season.

A loan exit appears the viable solution. The Catalan giants need to lower their wage bill to ease the spending restrictions from La Liga.

Aside from Coutinho, there are suggestions that Ousmane Dembele could be sold if he declines to sign a new deal beyond June 2022.
