Arsenal have reportedly made an approach to sign Palmeiras midfielder Danilo this month.
Gunners boss Mikel Arteta recently confirmed that the club are eyeing a midfielder after loaning out Ainsley Maitland-Niles to Roma.
It is now reported by R7 that the Gunners have made a formal offer of €20 million plus €5m in add-ons for Palmeiras' Danilo.
The 20-year-old is a defensive midfielder by trade, and has already been linked with several European clubs including Liverpool.
Palmeiras are yet to respond to the Gunners' offer, and it is claimed that they could wait until the summer before selling him.
Danilo's deal does not expire until June 2025. He has a €94m release clause on his contract, and is happy to stay at the club.
As things stand, the Gunners appear unlikely to sign him unless the player changes his mind and hands in a transfer request.
The Gunners have also been linked with Lyon's Bruno Guimaraes lately, but the French outfit want at least €45m for his services.
