Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has confirmed that Takehiro Tomiyasu remains doubtful for Sunday's Premier League trip to Watford.
The Japan international has picked up multiple calf injuries since the turn of the year. He has not played for the Gunners since mid-January.
Cedric Soares has done a wonderful job from right-back in his absence, and it appears the Portuguese may continue for the next few games at least.
Speaking in a press conference today, Arteta said that there are no fresh injury issues, but admitted that Tomiyasu remains a doubt for Sunday.
Tomiyasu has been an excellent acquisition for the Gunners, and he has put in several stand-out performances during his debut campaign.
His defensive displays have been a refreshing sight. The 23-year-old has won regular aerial and ground duels for the north London giants.
He may not be rushed back to action with several games remaining. Cedric has the chance to boost his starting prospects with another solid showing.
