Manchester United have been handed a big boost with Jamie Vardy ruled out for the weekend's Premier League meeting.
The Red Devils have had a frustrating campaign, and they are currently four points behind fourth-placed Arsenal with a game in hand.
With nine games left in their season, they have basically no room for errors. Saturday's game against the Foxes is a must-win for them.
Ahead of the encounter, they have received a timely boost with confirmation that Vardy won't play any part for the Foxes at Old Trafford.
The England international picked up a knee injury last month, and subsequently missed the games against Arsenal and Brentford.
He has yet to recover from the minor setback, and manager Brendan Rodgers has confirmed that he could be sidelined for a few more weeks.
He said: We’ll see really. We just work day by day really. He’s certainly not fit for the weekend but we’ll assess it over the next week or two weeks."
The news will come as a huge boost for the Red Devils, considering Vardy has netted six goals in the meetings between the sides.
