Chelsea defender Marcos Alonso has agreed personal terms with Barcelona ahead of a summer switch.
The Spaniard has been with the west London giants for the past six years, but he is now eager to return to his homeland.
A contract agreement is in place with Barcelona, but they still need to agree a suitable fee with Thomas Tuchel's side.
According to Fabrizio Romano, the Blaugrana are keen to land Alonso, but won't pay a high fee to land his services.
The LaLiga outfit are currently in compulsion to sell players to balance their books, and can ill-afford to pay a big sum.
Alonso was signed from Fiorentina for £24 million, but it seems unlikely that the Blues will recoup the money spent.
The left-back's contract expires in just over 13 months, and the Blues could be forced to accept a knockdown price.
As things stand, Barcelona seem in pole position to sign him as there does not appear any competition from elsewhere.
