Leicester City midfielder Youri Tielemans is eager to join Arsenal during this summer's transfer window.
The Belgian has been long linked with a move to the Emirates Stadium, but the Gunners have yet to make an approach.
The price tag could be a reason behind their decision while there are also claims that they are looking elsewhere.
According to journalist Ben Jacobs, Arsenal are still in the running to sign Tielemans, but are prepared to stay patient.
The Foxes want £31 million for the 25-year-old, but the Gunners prefer to land him for a lesser price of around £26m.
Meanwhile, Manchester United are said to be interested in Tielemans, but their pursuit depends on Arsenal's stance.
Tielemans has reportedly agreed personal terms with the Gunners, and would give first priority to them over United.
Tielemans bagged six goals and four assists from 32 league games last term.
Leicester ideally prefer to keep him, but he has no plans of extending his current deal which expires next summer.
