Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has decided to keep Anthony Martial beyond the summer following his sublime showing in pre-season.
The Frenchman had a disastrous 2021/22 campaign where he struggled to nail down a starting spot with United as well as Sevilla (on loan).
However, he has managed to transform his fortunes under Ten Hag, who has offered him the chance to lead the line in the club's friendlies.
Martial has netted in each of the club's three pre-season games, and The Mail report that Ten Hag is now prepared to keep the Frenchman.
United have received a couple of loan proposals from European clubs, but it is now clear that Martial won't be heading through the exit door.
Meanwhile, it is reported that the 26-year-old will start up front against Brighton on August 7 regardless of Cristiano Ronaldo's position.
Ronaldo has not reported for training due to personal reasons. Even if he returns next week, Martial is set to lead the line in the season opener.
