Holland today defeated Bulgaria 2-0 thanks to two goals from Real Madrid pair Wesley Sneijder and Ruud van Nistelrooy. The game was an interesting battle with Bulgaria playing the majority of the game on the counter attack.

Sneijder curled the ball home after 23 minutes from a free kick very impressively. van Nistelrooy claimed the second after taking the ball from Liverpool striker Ryan Babel and touching the ball home on 58 minutes.



The Dutch are now second in the group with 17 points from seven matches, three points behind leaders Romania, who have played eight matches.
