Manchester United have agreed a transfer fee with Juventus for French midfielder Adrien Rabiot, according to Manchester Evening News.
The Red Devils have been determined to land Frenkie de Jong for a number of months, but a deal seems improbable at the moment.
The club have agreed a fee with Barcelona for his services, but the 25-year-old has no plans of joining them at the current point of time.
After weeks of patience, United have now turned their attention to Rabiot, and have agreed a package worth £20 million with Juventus.
The Frenchman is said to be excited by the prospect of joining United, but they still need to agree suitable terms with his mother and agent.
Rabiot's mother Veronique has been a controversial figure in France over the years, and her demands pulled the plug on the midfielder's move to Roma.
Hence, United don't have a straightforward task, and it may take some time before they secure the services of the 27-year-old star.
