The Red Devils are currently in the process of loaning out Aaron Wan-Bissaka, and Dest has been identified as the top target.

According to Sport, the club recently proposed a swap deal for the 21-year-old, but Barcelona are clear that they want cash outright.

The Catalan giants value him in the region of €20m, and they are prepared to do business if United meet their reported price tag.

United want to part ways with Wan-Bissaka first, but they may need to act fast, considering Chelsea are also interested in Dest.

The London giants recently committed Cesar Azpilicueta to a new deal, but are still interested in signing the former Ajax graduate.

United have one advantage over the Blues in the fact that they can guarantee the USA international with regular Premier League starts.

At Chelsea, Dest may struggle for regular minutes due to the presence of Reece James, who is an undisputed starter in the league.
