Manchester United favourite Juan Mata is set to join Turkish giants Galatasaray on a free transfer.
The Spaniard spent eight seasons with the Red Devils and reportedly rejected the opportunity to extend for another campaign.
He was then linked with a possible move to Leeds United, but nothing materialised with talks only held with his agents.
According to Turkish journalist Ali Naci Kucuk, Mata has now decided to make the move to the Super Lig with Galatasaray.
The Spaniard has already agreed personal terms over a one-year deal worth £1.5 million and is due to join them within hours.
Aside from Galatasaray, Mata also received lucrative offers from Major League Soccer as well as from Saudi Arabia and Qatar.
However, the former Chelsea man was always determined to continue in Europe, and has been offered the chance with Gala.
The Istanbul outfit had a poor 2021/22 season where they finished 13th in the standings, and will be eyeing a stronger campaign.
