Predicted Man Utd line-up vs Sheriff, Ronaldo and Fernandes start

15 September 2022 - 15:47

Manchester United are scheduled to face Sheriff Tiraspol on the road in today's Europa League encounter.

  • Chelsea join Liverpool & Man Utd in race to sign 26yo
  • Barcelona identify Arsenal midfielder as key transfer target

  • The Red Devils lost their opening game of the competition by a 1-0 scoreline to Real Sociedad last week.

Erik ten Hag will want a strong response from his side on the back of the disappointing performance.

    Predicted Line-up:

David de Gea looks a nailed-on starter in goal, particularly with back-up keeper and summer signing Martin Dubravka currently injured.

Ten Hag should pick his strongest defensive line-up for the game.

We expect Lisandro Martinez to partner Raphael Varane in central defence with Diogo Dalot and Tyrell Malacia in the full-back positions.

Casemiro looked far from his best during his full United debut against Sociedad. He could be replaced by Scott McTominay in the number six role.

We fancy Christian Eriksen to partner the Scot. Bruno Fernandes should return to the line-up from his preferred number 10 position.

Fred played from the attacking position against Sociedad, but he was hugely disappointing before he was substituted in the second half.

Antony and Jadon Sancho should be undisputed starters on the right and left side of the attack with Cristiano Ronaldo leading the line.

Ronaldo was far from his vintage best last week, but should be backed as the main striker amid injuries to Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial.

Predicted Man Utd line-up (4-2-3-1): De Gea; Dalot, Varane, Martinez, Malacia; McTominay, Eriksen; Antony, Fernandes, Sancho; Ronaldo.
