Chelsea midfielder Mason Mount is in discussions with the club regarding a new long term deal, believed to be a six year contract at Stamford Bridge. A renaissance under new manager Graham Potter has seen Mason Mount's recent form improve, and the England international could now be set for a bumper £150,000 per week deal.
The 23-year-old's current deal will expire in 2024, and it is understood that he is keen to put pen to paper on a new contract.
The midfielder has been an almost ever present in recent years for the Blues, and is a firm fan favourite at the club.
Mount has attracted some interest from bitter rivals Manchester United, who have been apparently considering a move for the midfielder. With Mount being a Chelsea fan, it is highly unlikely that the player will depart the Blues and a new deal will likely be announced in the next few weeks.
Mount has played in 113 games for Chelsea, scoring 24 goals, and a further 32 caps for England and a five goal return.
