Inter want Chalobah to replace Skriniar

Inter Milan planning swoop for Trevoh Chalobah?

24 October 2022 - 20:58

Inter Milan are reportedly plotting an approach to sign Chelsea defender Trevoh Chalobah at the end of the campaign.

  • Chelsea ready new contract for star midfielder
  • Chelsea make first move to sign Xabi Alonso

  • The Blues graduate was touted to leave the club on loan last summer, but he was convinced to stay put by the hierarchy.

The decision has proved worthwhile, considering he is now a regular starter in central defence under manager Graham Potter.

Despite this, there is still speculation over his future, particularly with Chelsea wanting to sign Josko Gvardiol from Leipzig.

The Blues plan to bring the Croatian to the Bridge next summer and this could urge Chalobah to move on from the London side.

Amidst this, Gazzetta dello Sport claim that Inter are monitoring him and see him as a replacement for Milan Skriniar next summer.

Skriniar is about to enter the final six months of his Nerazzurri deal, but the club are prepared to lose him for free than sell him in January.

Paris Saint-Germain have been strongly tipped to land Skriniar on a free transfer.
