Manchester United are reportedly keeping tabs on Lille striker Jonathan David ahead of a possible transfer.
The Red Devils are planning to sign a new marksman in January and are keeping tabs on numerous players.
One of them is David, who has had an exceptional start to his Ligue 1 campaign with nine goals thus far.
David has openly stated that he would like to play in the Premier League or La Liga in the prime of his career.
A number of high-profile clubs have been linked with him and United could now make a formal transfer offer.
Cristiano Ronaldo has been tipped to leave Old Trafford in January and David would be a solid replacement.
The 22-year-old has excellent pace and dribbling ability and can also provide key passes in the final third.
At his age, he has plenty of room for development and could be a leading star for the Red Devils in years to come.
