Chelsea are still interested in signing Barcelona winger Ousmane Dembele, according to Spanish outlet Fichajes.
The Frenchman was a free agent at the beginning of July, but he ended up signing a new two-year deal with Barcelona.
As part of the renewal, the Blaugrana agreed to insert a release clause worth €50m. The Blues are aware of the option.
Dembele\'s clause will become active at the end of the season and the west London giants are prepared to lure him to the club.
Meanwhile, Barcelona are in the process of negotiating a renewal with Dembele such that he does not leave next summer.
Dembele accepted a big pay-cut to extend his stay, but he expects the Catalans to hand him a new and improved deal.
The Frenchman is currently at the World Cup in Qatar. Barcelona will be hoping that he stays unscathed on the playing field.
Dembele has been unfortunate with several injuries. He was previously injured for Les Bleus at Euro 2020 last summer.
