Manchester United will need to pay around €75m to sign PSV Eindhoven star Cody Gakpo during the winter transfer window.
The Red Devils were keen on landing the Dutchman last summer, but ended their pursuit after the purchase of Antony from Ajax.
However, they could now return for him after Cristiano Ronaldo's exit, but reports claim that PSV will demand a significant fee.
The Dutch side were eyeing around €45m last summer but the price tag has been ever-increasing. They now want €75m for Gakpo.
Despite the fresh price tag, United continue to remain interested in the 23-year-old, who has bagged 13 goals and 17 assists for PSV this term.
He has also stood out for the Netherlands at the World Cup. He would be a fantastic acquisition for United midway through the campaign.
Liverpool and Arsenal have also been linked with his services, but Gakpo has publicly admitted that he would consider a move to United.
Gakpo spoke with manager Erik ten Hag on multiple occasions last summer.
