Chelsea are confident of signing AC Milan forward Rafael Leao next summer, according to Gazzetta dello Sport.
The Blues were hot on the trail of the Portugal international last summer, but Milan refused to consider his exit.
However, they may struggle to keep him next season, considering his contract expires in the summer of 2024.
The 23-year-old has declined a contract extension and it is claimed that Milan are likely to listen to offers soon.
A January transfer is out of the cards, but Chelsea are positive of bringing him to Stamford Bridge next summer.
Chelsea are already planning for the long-term. They recently agreed to land Christopher Nkunku from RB Leipzig.
The Blues have also signed David Datro Fofana from Molde and he is expected to join them in January itself.
The 20-year-old has been dubbed as the next Didier Drogba and could have a huge future ahead at the London giants.
Leao would be another outstanding signing for the Blues but he won't come for cheap with a price tag of €100 million.
