Leeds United are to make a move for Club Brugge youngster Senne Lammens, the 20-year-old goalkeeper currently playing for Club Brugge in Belgium. The 6 foot 4 inches shot stopper is highly rated in his home country and has already appeared several times for the Belgian under-21 international team.
Seen as a long-term successor for Thibaut Courtois, Lammens has just emerged on the Belgian Pro League 'B' division, and is expected to push for a starting berth in Brugge very soon.
However, Leeds United do not want to miss out on unearthing Lammens' talent early, and are readying a 4 million euro transfer bid this January. Illan Meslier currently has Joel Robles, Kristoffer Klaesson and Harry Christy as his understudies, and could yet have more competition.
It is understood that should Leeds sign Lammens, they'll beat Jupiler League giants Anderlecht as well as interest from Germany in signing the Belgian. Borussia Dortmund and Freiburg have been tracking the performances of the keeper in the Club Brugge youth side.
