Chelsea manager Graham Potter has heaped praise on Kalidou Koulibaly following the 1-0 Premier League win over Leeds United.
The Blues ended a six-match winless run with a slender victory over the Foxes. Wesley Fofana scored the only goal of the game.
Speaking after the win, Potter was delighted for his players and heaped praise on Koulibaly\'s leadership skills at the heart of the defence.
The Senegal star played in the middle of the back three and Potter was impressed with his calmness during the closing stages.
He said: \"He cares and I felt he helped Wesley and he helped Benoit [Badiashile], two young players, and he showed a leadership and a calmness which was important for us. So I’m really happy for him.\"
Despite the win, Chelsea continue to remain 10th in the standings but there were plenty of positives to take from the hard-fought result.
The Blues host Borussia Dortmund in the second leg of their Champions League last 16 tie in midweek. They trail 1-0 after the first leg.
Potter will be hoping for a repeat performance but with better finishing in the final third. The Blues have netted just five goals in 2023.
