Chelsea midfielder Mason Mount has suffered a recurrence of his previous injury, according to The Athletic.
The England international has been a key player for the Blues over the last four years but he could leave them soon.
His current deal expires at the end of next season and there are claims that he could be sold in the next transfer window.
Hence, Mount will be hoping to end the campaign on a high but he may not be available for the next few matches.
The midfielder was sidelined for the recent Wolverhampton Wanderers game after a recurrence of a previous injury.
He is now expected to miss the first leg of the Champions League quarter-final against Real Madrid in midweek.
The Blues are huge underdogs for the encounter and Mount's absence could be a further blow to their semi-final bid.
Chelsea have to win the Champions League to have any chance of qualifying for the competition next term.
