Manchester United are ready to battle with Chelsea for the signing of Brighton & Hove Albion midfielder Moises Caicedo.
The Red Devils have identified Mason Mount as their priority midfield target, but Chelsea have refused to lower their transfer demands.
United have made three separate bids for Mount. Their latest offer of £55 million remains below the asking price of around £65m.
It is now reported that United won't increase their offer for Mount. They are prepared to walk away if Chelsea don't change their stance.
Meanwhile, this could directly impact the Blues. United are prepared to fight it out with Chelsea for Caicedo in the coming weeks.
Caicedo is a boyhood United supporter and the Red Devils could beat Chelsea to his signature with Champions League football.
The Ecuadorian has also been linked with Arsenal in the last few weeks, but they have cooled their interest to focus on Declan Rice.
The Gunners are planning to sign the West Ham captain in a deal worth £100m. The move could be finalised within days.
