Manchester United are close to finalising the transfer of Inter Milan goalkeeper Andre Onana, according to Alfredo Pedulla.
The Red Devils are currently in advanced talks with the Nerazzurri for the Cameroonian, but they are yet to meet the asking price.
Their first two bids of €45m and €50m including add-ons have been turned down, and United are now planning a third proposal for him.
Inter currently value their prized asset at around €60m. United could propose to pay €50m up front with the rest in bonuses.
The offer could be made in the next 24 hours with manager Erik ten Hag eager to have the goalkeeper in training by the weekend.
Ten Hag was anticipating multiple signings before the start of pre-season, but United's slow negotiations have hampered his preparation plans.
Until now, the Red Devils have only signed Mason Mount from Chelsea. They are not close to landing a striker, which should have been the top priority.
